Oxy-Fuel Gases & Hot Work

This training workshop is designed for people who use oxy-fuel gas systems and handle compressed gas cylinders in an industrial environment. This is a theory only workshop and focuses on the safe use of oxygen and fuel gases, including understanding flammability, oxygen enrichment and the risks associated with regulators, flashback arrestors and hoses.

This training workshop is designed for people who use oxy-fuel gas cylinders for a variety of purposes including cutting, burning, heating, brazing and welding. It covers oxy-acetylene and oxy-propane, plus many other gases typically used in an industrial environment. It consists of safety awareness theory plus a practical demonstration by our trainer of how to correctly set-up an oxy-fuel gas system.

This practical training workshop is designed for anyone working with oxy-fuel gas systems and equipment in industrial settings. It covers the safe set-up, inspection and operation of regulators, flashback arrestors, hoses and torches, helping staff understand how to prevent flashbacks, identify hazards and work safely. Alongside essential theory, the course includes a hands-on practical session where delegates will assemble an oxy-fuel workstation, carry out pre-use checks, set operating pressures and complete leak testing under the guidance of our trainer.

This training workshop is designed for people who are responsible for either issuing hot work permits or supervising hot work operations. The full day consists of multiple interactive exercises concentrating specifically on the elements required to manage staff and contractors under a formal permit to work system.

This training workshop gives delegates the opportunity to practice hands-on how to correctly set-up and leak test a portable oxy-fuel gas system, plus be trained how to perform safety checks of these systems. It consists of online safety awareness theory training followed by an instructor-led on-site practical session. It is designed for organisations who have a small number of delegates to train.
