This practical training workshop is designed for anyone involved in the handling or decanting of liquid nitrogen, particularly those working with cryogenic vessels, dewars and associated equipment. It focuses on the safe transfer of liquid nitrogen from one vessel to another, helping delegates understand the risks involved, identify hazards and follow correct safety procedures. The course combines essential theory with hands-on training, covering vessel checks, valve identification, PPE, oxygen monitoring, pressure management and safe decanting techniques to ensure staff can carry out the process safely and confidently.

This training workshop is designed for people who use, handle or store compressed gas cylinders, cryogenic liquids and associated equipment in a laboratory or similar environment. Information on the safe use of fixed piped gas supply manifold systems can be included if required. It consists of safety awareness theory only, to which optional practical training can also be added if desired.

This training workshop provides safety awareness of the potential hazards when using cryogenic gases / cryogenic liquids and also focuses on the correct procedures to be followed in order to shrink fit a component efficiently. It consists of both theory and practical elements.
