  • Hazards posed by liquid nitrogen – Hazards posed by cold; cold burns, hypothermia and frostbite. Expansion rate of liquid nitrogen. Hazards of oxygen depletion. The need to monitor atmospheres. Personal Protective Equipment. Treatment of cold burns.
  • Liquid nitrogen vessels – Safe working practices with dewars and pressure vessels.
  • Potential oxygen enrichment – Oxygen enrichment and potential flash combustion.
  • Safe manual handling – Key principles to moving vessels safely.
  • Safe Storage – Principles of safe siting and storage of liquid nitrogen vessels.

WHO IS THE TRAINING FOR?

This training workshop is designed for people who use, handle and store cryogenic gases / cryogenic liquids and associated equipment.

It consists of safety awareness theory only. It can be run in isolation or you can also book its supplementary practical workshop.

Duration: 3½ hours


PRICING

The price is £1125.00 for up to 6 staff inclusive of certification and support documentation. Additional staff are £80.00 per head, up to a maximum of 20 staff. VAT is payable at the standard rate.
