If gathering everyone in a single location for in‑person training isn’t possible, or if travel, scheduling or safety make it impractical, our remote instructor‑led gas safety workshops are the perfect alternative. Delivered live via Microsoft Teams, these sessions maintain the interactive elements of traditional in-person training while providing maximum flexibility.
Our virtual workshops cover everything our traditional in-person workshops do apart from the practical elements, as these are not possible remotely. However, all theory, demonstrations, safety protocols and discussions are still covered in full.

Using Oxy-fuel Gases Safely (theory only)
This training workshop is designed for people who use oxy-fuel gas systems and handle compressed gas cylinders in an industrial environment. This is a theory only workshop and focuses on the safe use of oxygen and fuel gases, including understanding flammability, oxygen enrichment and the risks associated with regulators, flashback arrestors and hoses.

Using Laboratory Gases Safely including Manifold Systems
This training workshop is designed for people who use, handle and store compressed gas cylinders and associated equipment within a laboratory or other similar environment and who use fixed piped gas supply manifold systems. It consists of safety awareness theory only and includes a section on the correct operation of a manifold system.

Using Industrial Gases and Liquid Nitrogen Safely (theory only)
This training workshop is designed for people who use industrial gases and liquid nitrogen for a variety of purposes. It covers the key hazards associated with inert, oxidising and fuel gases, alongside the safe handling, storage and use of gas cylinders and liquid nitrogen vessels. The course also explores oxygen depletion risks, pressure hazards, atmospheric monitoring and emergency response, with optional practical training available for teams who would benefit from hands-on guidance. It consists of safety awareness theory only, to which optional practical training can also be added if desired.

Safe Use of Manifold Systems with Practical Connecting Regulators
This training provides staff with detailed information on how manifold systems operate, and the opportunity to practise hands-on connecting a regulator and hose to a cylinder. It also allows staff to safely pressurise the system and leak test it.

HOW THE VIRTUAL TRAINING WORKS
Our virtual training is set up to be straight forward and flexible, bridging the gap between in-person workshops at your premises and our online training courses:
- All live interactive workshops are delivered by one of our qualified gas safety trainers.
- We use Microsoft Teams to connect with our trainees, to deliver the training, share presentations and safety visuals, answer questions and participate in discussions.
- Training is provided to cover your specific gas safety needs, and our courses can be customised as much or little as is required.
- Any group sizes can be accommodated to suit your organisation and team.
BENEFITS OF REMOTE GAS SAFETY TRAINING
-

FLEXIBLE AND CONVENIENT
Staff can join from their workplace, home or any location, saving travel time and scheduling complexity.
-

COST-EFFECTIVE
Lower costs – no room hire or travel for the trainer, and less disruption to your business operations.
-

INTERACTIVE LEARNING
Live Q&A, group discussions and trainer feedback, just the same as with in‑person sessions.
-

TAILORED CONTENT
We adapt the material to your gas types, industry, and regulatory needs.
-

CONTINUITY
Follow-up training can be arranged with the same trainer, whether that’s further remote training or an in-person practical workshop.
