Using Compressed Nitrogen Safely

• Inert gases and oxygen depletion – Hazards posed when handling nitrogen.
• Hazards posed by nitrogen cylinders – Design and function of cylinder valves. Do’s and don’ts with nitrogen cylinders. Cylinder identification. Using nitrogen cylinders safely.
• Gas control equipment – Safe working procedures with nitrogen regulators and hoses.
• Handling nitrogen gas cylinders safely – Do’s and Don’ts when moving nitrogen cylinders. Personal protective equipment.
• Storing gas cylinders safely -Key principles in storing compressed nitrogen cylinders safely; includes design, construction, location, segregation and emergency procedures.

This training workshop is designed for people who use, handle and store compressed nitrogen cylinders only, plus associated equipment.

It consists of safety awareness theory plus a practical demonstration by our trainer of how to correctly connect a regulator and hose assembly to a nitrogen gas cylinder. If you use a different inert gas, such as argon, we can adapt the training to suit your requirements.

Duration: 3 hours

The price is £1050.00 for up to 6 staff inclusive of certification and support documentation. Additional staff are £80.00 per head, up to a maximum of 20 staff. VAT is payable at the standard rate.
