Site Safety Surveys

Site Safety Assessment Survey

Keeping Your Site Safe and Compliant Doesn’t Have to be Complicated

What is a site safety survey?

Our site safety surveys are a comprehensive assessment of the storage, handling and use of compressed or liquefied gases on your site(s). They involve a detailed review of the physical environment, layout, gas control equipment, manifolds, bulk storage and all gas related activities to ensure the safety of your staff and other persons who may work on your site(s).

Why do I need a safety survey?

In essence our specialists offer you a ‘new set of eyes’…they enable you to see gas specific hazards that you may not even be aware of and they give you precise industry specific guidance as to the control measures that you could introduce to ensure a safer working environment.

What’s the purpose of a safety survey?

Our gas specific site safety surveys identify potential hazards that could lead to accidents, injuries, or damage. They also help our clients to assess the likelihood and severity of potential hazards, helping them to prioritise safety improvements.

So, by identifying risks, our surveys will recommend the implementation of specific control measures, such as improved standard operating procedures, equipment maintenance, or training.

In short, our site safety surveys help organisations to comply with relevant regulations and industry Codes of Practice and Guidance Notes.

What are the key aspects of our gas specific site safety surveys?

  • Site Assessment: During our visit our industry specialist will inspect all areas where gases are used, handled and stored. They will discuss the use of gases with your managers, supervisors and users and where appropriate and with permission they will take photos for use within our report.
  • Hazard Identification: With many years of industry specific experience our specialist will bring hazards to your attention and will through discussion will offer an assessment of risk and the likelihood of an accident occurring.
  • Recommendation: They will provide specific recommendations for improving gas safety, such as producing job specific method statements, implementing segregation distances within your gas stores, or improving your planned preventative maintenance with gas equipment.

What happens after the survey?

Our specialist will produce a detailed site-specific report which identifies areas of non-compliance with legislation, industry Codes of Practice and Guidance Notes discovered on your site(s). It will identify gas hazards within each area of your facility and it will provide recommendations of control measures for you to consider.

Essentially, the report can be used by your safety managers and area supervisors to improve gas safety handling, storage and use on your site(s).
