Health and Safety Training – what you need to know
“Every working day in Great Britain one person is killed and nearly 2000 are injured at work. Every year around half a million people take time off work because of what they regard as work-related illness. Many millions of work days are lost as a result.*
Accidents and ill health are costly to workers and their families. They can also hurt companies because, in addition to the costs of personal injuries, they may incur greater costs from damage to property, equipment and lost production”

Providing Health and Safety Training will help you to:
- ensure that your employees are not injured or made ill by the work they do
- develop a positive health and safety culture
- meet your legal and ethical duties to protect the health and safety of your employees
The law (Health And Safety At Work Act 1974 etc) requires you to provide whatever training, instruction and information is needed to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health and safety of your employees.
