Gas Safety in Healthcare Environments
Our medical safety training workshops give participants a firm understanding of the key safety issues associated with the handling, storage, use and transportation of medical gases.
The workshops develop risk awareness through the identification of hazards found in everyday situations. Participants will learn about the gas safety issues relative to their specific departments, together with the steps required to maintain safe working conditions.
An understanding of hazards and the ability to assess risks within healthcare environments is vital in today’s Health and Safety conscious workplace, these workshops help to develop these critical skills.

Medical GasesThis 3½ hour workshop gives participants a firm understanding of the key safety issues associated with the handling, storage, use and transportation of gases within a healthcare environment. It is designed for staff who need a more in-depth knowledge of medical gases and who are responsible for gas cylinder equipment and manifold systems. Typically this will be Estates, Porters, Facilities and Engineering personnel, but it is also appropriate for Managers who have a responsibility for Health & Safety. |

Medical Gases for Clinical & Support ServicesThis 2 hour workshop is an abridged version of the full 3½ hour workshop shown above. It is designed for staff who are involved in the use, handling, storage and administration of medical gases, but who do not have responsibilities relating to gas manifold systems. Typically, this may be Clinical, Nursing and Midwifery, Portering, Facilities and Ambulance staff. The workshop gives participants a firm understanding of the key safety issues associated with the medical gases. |

Connecting Regulators to Medical Gas Cylinders PracticalThis 1 hour workshop gives participants the opportunity to practice the safe set-up and leak test of medical gas cylinders and associated equipment. Please note this workshop cannot be booked in isolation, it must follow safety awareness training. |
