Our Industrail Gases Safety Awareness for Refrigeration Engineers Workshop is an instructor-led training session for up to 20 delegates. It provides all the essential safety awareness information that users of industrial gases in the refrigeration industry require.

The half-day (4 hour) workshop is designed for:

  • Anyone using, handling, storing or transporting gas cylinders
  • Service and other Managers with operational responsibilites for safety
  • Managers, Supervisors and staff from all functions who are responsible for the safe use of gases
  • Risk Managers and anyone responsible for Health & Safety

What You Will Learn

The workshop will enable participants to:

  • Correctly identify gas cylinders
  • Recognise how gas cylinders operate
  • Be aware of the hazards of asphyxia
  • Recognise the hazards posed by oxygen enrichment
  • Identify flammability hazards
  • Recognise the potential hazards posed by refrigerant gases
  • Select the correct gas control equipment
  • Recognise the hazards of using incorrect manual handling techniques
  • Re-assess current storage procedures in line with the relevant Guidance Note
  • Identify hazards when transporting gas cylinders
  • Introduce safe working practices into your workplace

Workshop Price

The workshop is priced at £1120 for up to 8 delegates, additional delegates at £105 per head. VAT is payable at the standard rate.

A maximum of 20 delegates may attend. Certificates of attendance and delegate workbooks will be issued.

We employed ‘Gas Safe Consultants’ to provide Compressed Gas and Oxy Acetylene Training. Having formalised our Safe Systems of Work it was apparent that we ‘all’ required training in compressed gas and that meant from our Managing Director to our apprentices.

The trainer spent three days with us covering the relevant aspects of Compressed Gas and Oxy Acetylene. We all greatly appreciated the quality of his training and he completed his task in such a manner that we now feel we are all experts.
