We provide a full range of consultancy services to assist clients with a broad spectrum of issues. Recent projects include: * A major project over several months to assist a client who had been served a Prohibition Order by the HSE following an incident. By working closely with the client we were able to oversee the redesign of a particular facility and the specialist gas equipment therein. We assisted them with the production of Risk Assessments and Standard Operating Procedures for its on-going use and trained the clients staff with specific reference to them. We also assisted the client to define exactly what training, skills and attributes contractors must have in order to undertake maintenance on the facility. Our extensive consultancy work ultimately resulted in the lifting of the Prohibition Order and the reinstatement of the facility. * A project with a major power supplier to assist them assess how best to deal with the replacement of a large number of gas supply panels in sub-stations in a major city. These panels needed to be capable of supplying inert nitrogen gas from cylinders and/or cryogenic vessels. On this project we worked with the client and our specialist piped systems partner to design a robust panel that fully met the requirements, while at the same time being small enough to be installed in all the sub-stations, regardless of their physical location. * A project with a client to develop a bespoke Hot Work training session. A review of Risk Assessments across the client's production sites had identified a requirement to ensure that all contractors undertaking Hot Work were correctly supervised and working in-line with a relevant Hot Work Permit. Through detailed discussions with both the client and our Fire Risk Assessment partners we produced a specific one day practical based training workshop for supervisors and contract managers that met the clients needs and operational objectives. All contractors are now assessed before being allowed onto site to ensure that operators have been properly trained, equipment has been checked in line with BCGA Code of Practice CP7 and operators work in-line with an authorised Standard Operating Procedure. * A creative project to script, film, edit and produce a training DVD for a major client whose Risk Assessment process had identified a need to inform auxiliary staff of the potential hazards posed by gases used within a large fabrication facility. Following a number of site visits the client's needs were clearly defined and a draft script written to ensure that all objectives were met. This initial draft was refined with a number of stakeholders in the project at the clients site, before filming and animation commenced. Our production partners produced a rough-cut with a guide voice-over, which was further refined over a number of production meetings before the final cut was produced with a professional voice-over. The client was delighted with the finished DVD.
