Police have closed Newhalls Road in South Queensferry following reports of an explosion.

Gas explosion: Residents evacuated from South Queensferry street
Residents in a street in South Queensferry have been evacuated after reports of a gas cylinder explosion.
The incident has been linked to a garage on Newhalls Road forcing police to close the road for the next 24 hours.
A spokeswoman for Lothian and Borders Police said there are no reports of any injuries and emergency services are still at the scene on Tuesday evening.
She said: "We had a report of a possible explosion of a cylinder of gas at Newhalls Road in South Queensferry. All residents in the street have been evacuated as a precaution. It is an ongoing incident and officers are still at the scene.
"The road will be closed for at least the next 24 hours."
