Our Connecting Regulators & Cylinder Set-up Practical Workshop gives participants the opportunity to further their learning by practising the safe set-up and leak test of gas cylinders in a practical environment.

The 2 hour workshop is aimed at staff, managers, supervisors, health and safety officers, technicians and risk managers who use gas cylinders and fit regulators and associated equipment to them.

Please note that prior to attending this workshop all delegates must have received safety awareness training. This is can be delivered in the traditional way by an instructor, or it can be completing online via e-Learning. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.

• Single and multi-stage regulators
• Pre-use visual checks on gas regulators
• Correct fitting of regulators
• Visual check on hose assemblies
• Correct attachment of hose assemblies
• Setting correct working pressures
• Leak test procedures
• Safe working practices with gas regulators
• Practical session; cylinder set-up, leak test and shut-down

What You Will Learn

The workshop will enable participants to:

• Correctly identify gas cylinders
• Recognise how cylinders operate
• Identify the potential hazards on gas regulators
• Select the correct gas control equipment
• Correctly fit a gas regulator to a cylinder valve
• Recognise the need to open cylinder valves slowly
• Correctly leak test a gas system
• Recognise the need for safe shut-down procedures
• Introduce safe working practices into their workplace

Workshop Price

The workshop is priced at £800 for up to 8 delegates, additional delegates at £100 per head. VAT is payable at the standard rate.

A maximum of 12 delegates may attend. Certificates of attendance and delegate workbooks will be issued.
